1856-S Type Two Gold Dollar, AU53
Normal Mintmark
1856-S G$1 Type Two AU53 NGC. The Normal Mintmark variety is
slightly more plentiful than the Doubled Mintmark variety that is
cataloged as FS-501. This AU example has light wear on its
peach-gold surfaces with traces of luster remaining near the
borders. A wispy die crack is evident in the left obverse
field.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25C8, PCGS# 7536, Greysheet# 8075)
