1881-O $1 MS66 NGC. According to Q. David Bowers in his Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars, "To find a high-quality 1881-O will take some doing, but there are enough around that within a few months or so you should be successful." Only one collector will enjoy the success of winning this lot, but what a success it will be! Profoundly lustrous surfaces are minimally toned save for the slightest hint of gold near the margins. Considerable frostiness graces the high points, and the fields and devices are equally smooth with only a few luster grazes. Census: 7 in 66, 0 finer (11/08).
