Description
Enchanting MS67 1882 Dollar
1882 $1 MS67 NGC. Though the 1882 Morgan dollar has a mintage of over 11.1 million pieces, the meltings that took place under the Pittman Act, as well as other, more scattered reductions to bullion that happened during various silver crazes, have claimed many examples. Still, the issue remains readily available in most grades, though as several commentators note, Gems are highly elusive. At the Superb Gem level the issue is a condition rarity. This frosty beauty, sharply struck with impressively lustrous fields, is minimally toned and delightfully appealing. Census: 9 in 67, 0 finer (11/08).From The Sanderson Family Collection.(Registry values: P3, N4719)
