1820/19 50C Curl Base 2, O-102, R.1, AU55 PCGS. Popular for both the curled-base 2 and the visibility of nearly an entire 9 beneath the 0 in the date, the O-102 with its two-digit overdate is among the most in-demand varieties of the series. This is a Choice About Uncirculated, album-toned representative with dramatic border toning and frosted silver-gray centers. Plentiful mint luster remains beneath the attractive patina. Light wear on the highest curls and cap folds do not detract from the strong strike and needle-sharp stars.
