Description
1953 Lincoln Cent, MS62
on a Brass Cuba Centavo Planchet
1953 1C Lincoln Cent -- Struck on a Cuba Centavo Planchet --
MS62 ANACS. In 1953, the U.S. Mint struck brass centavos for
Cuba (KM-26). A brass centavo planchet found its way between cent
dies, and the result was the present rare off metal error. A
well-centered example with virtually complete legends, missing only
the L in LIBERTY. The upper legends exhibit stretching toward the
rim, characteristic of the error category. Lustrous and unabraded
with rich lime-green and peach-gold toning.
