Description

1773 1/2P Virginia Halfpenny, No Period MS64 Brown PCGS. Breen-181. This is an attractive coin whose surfaces reveal traces of original orange-red luster in the more protected areas around the devices. Nevertheless, the outward appearance of both sides is essentially medium brown in color. A few faint carbon flecks are all that separate this smooth example from an even higher grade. Listed on page 24 of the 2001 Guide Book.
