Few Known This Fine
1899-S 50C MS65 PCGS. From a mintage of 1.6 million pieces,
the 1899-S Barber half dollar is conditionally rare in MS65, and
only a handful of finer pieces are reported. This impressive Gem
exhibits sharply detailed design elements in most areas, with just
a touch of the usual softness on the juncture of the shield and
eagle's wing. The vibrantly lustrous surfaces are free of
mentionable distractions. Overall eye appeal is quite pleasing.
