Description

1890-CC Twenty, MS61
Variety 1-A

1890-CC $20 MS61 PCGS. Variety 1-A. This piece appears to be an intermediate die state, prior to reverse die lapping that removed tail feather detail, but after die wear eliminating the die doubling visible on early die states. This example ranks near the top of grades that are typically available in the market place. PCGS has certified 69 examples in MS62 and only eight in MS63, with none finer (11/17). Housed in a green-label PCGS holder, this example is conservatively graded and exhibits outstanding eye appeal. The surfaces are frosty and fully lustrous with yellow-gold accented by faint blue and delicate orange overtones.(Registry values: N2998)
