1846-O $5 AU55 NGC. Variety 1. The 1846-O is a scarce Southern No Motto issue with a mintage of only 58,000 pieces. The few Mint State examples trade for five figures, and most collectors settle for lightly circulated pieces. The present orange-tinged representative displays many pockets of vibrant luster, and although minor marks are distributed, only a diagonal line above star 1 merits individual mention.(Registry values: P6)
