1955 Wheat Cent on Dime Planchet
1955 1C Lincoln Cent--Struck on 10C Planchet--AU58 PCGS. The borders have softness of strike that is typical for this wrong planchet combination, as the smaller dime stock could not completely fill the cent dies. Wisps of olive patina embrace the otherwise untoned surfaces. A faint pinscratch below STATES and the C in CENT is only a minor distraction.From The Bellaire Collection, Part Two.
