Description

1882 Gold Dollar, PR66 Deep Cameo
Only One Finer Coin at PCGS

1882 G$1 PR66 Deep Cameo PCGS. A nominal mintage of 125 proof gold dollars was accomplished in 1882, to accompany a small business-strike mintage of 5,000 pieces. Perhaps 60-80 proof examples are extant today, making the issue relatively available in the context of the series. However, the issue is very rare in Premium Gem condition, with Deep Cameo surfaces.

This delightful Premium Gem exhibits sharply detailed design elements throughout and the frosty devices stand out against the deeply mirrored fields in a stunning cameo effect. The delightful yellow-gold surfaces are impeccably preserved and eye appeal is terrific. Population: 6 in 66 Deep Cameo, 1 finer (3/15).(Registry values: P2)
