Description

VF35 1796 Liberty Cap Cent, A Problem-Free Coin for the Grade

1796 1C Liberty Cap VF35 ANACS. S-84, R.3. This is a pleasingly original coin with moderate, yet evenly distributed wear and nice remaining definition. Rich chocolate-brown patina envelops both sides with some olive tinted accents outlining the devices. A few old circulation marks are evident over and before Liberty's cheek, none of which are individually distracting. In sum, this is a desirable, Choice VF representative of this final-year Liberty Cap Cent.
From the Ohio Collection.
