Description

Exceptional 1853-O Arrows Dime, AU58

1853-O 10C Arrows AU58 PCGS. Brian Greer (1992) writes of the 1853-O dime: "... scarce in VF and above. Underrated in XF and better grades. Collectors seeking sharply struck XF or better examples will find this date to be extremely challenging. Possibly R5- in XF+." This AU58 specimen displays ample luster residing on untoned surfaces. The design elements are well defined; the only area of mentionable softness is on the bowknot and the two bows. Population: 4 in 58, 8 finer (7/07).(Registry values: N491)
