Beautiful 1864 Three Cent Silver, MS66 PCGS

1864 3CS MS66 PCGS. The deep apple-green centers are surrounded by bright apricot-rose peripheries. A crisply struck and magnificently preserved premium Gem. Struck from a boldly clashed obverse die, however, the reverse die is perfect. Only 12,000 pieces were struck for this Civil War issue, which represents a token production since silver coins were contemporaneously hoarded. Housed in a green label PCGS holder. Population: 17 in 66, 9 finer (3/04).(#3684) (Registry values: N2998)
