1865 3CN PR65 Cameo PCGS. Proof production in this first year of the Three Cent Nickel design is estimated to have been in the neighborhood of around 500 pieces, making it far scarcer than Proofs from later years. This specimen displays a very slight milky haze, with chalky devices that give the coin uncommon contrast.
