Smooth AU55 1850-D Quarter Eagle
1850-D $2 1/2 AU55 NGC. CAC. Variety 13-M. A nearly unabraded butter-gold Choice AU example of this seldom encountered Dahlonega issue. From a minimal mintage of 12,148 pieces, the present 1850-D has vibrant luster at the margins and on the motifs. The strike is sharp for the remote facility since only the right (facing) claw is indistinct.
