1878 8TF $1 MS65 PCGS Secure. VAM-21. The "Broken R & B" variety, which refers to the bases of the R and B in PLURIBUS. Both sides are die doubled, but the doubling is more prominent on the reverse. This untoned and carefully preserved example has cartwheel luster on the obverse and a prooflike reverse.(Registry values: P5, N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 253H, PCGS# 7072, Greysheet# 7444)
