Vibrant Choice Full Bands 1920-S Dime
1920-S 10C MS64 Full Bands PCGS. CAC. Scarce in AU and better grades, since attrition thinned the ranks of the 1920-S considerably. As a result, high grade Mint State pieces are elusive. This particular coin shows the "broken nose" effect, as illustrated on page 102 of David Lange's second edition of his Complete Guide. This is an especially lustrous coin that has a slight overlay of golden patina on each side. A couple of abrasions on the figure of Liberty prevent an even higher grade. PCGS has graded just 35 finer Full Bands pieces (9/08).(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23HD, PCGS# 4933, Greysheet# 4542)
