Double Middle Olive Branch
Die Break Middle of Wing, Elite 30 Variety
1924 $1 Double Middle Olive Branch, Die Break Middle of Wing
MS63 PCGS. CAC. VAM-11A. An Elite 30 variety. The Doubled Olive
Branch in this later stage shows the rare Die Break Middle of Wing
feature, a discovery made by silver dollar specialist Jack Lee in
2005, according to www.VAMWorld.com. Scattered ticks and reeding
marks on the cheek and chin account for the grade on this untoned
piece, but there is eye appeal to spare. This coin is likely one of
the few Uncirculated examples known. PCGS shows only one in MS62
and this piece certified as VAM-11A. There is another graded in
AU55. Population: 1 in 63, 0 finer (12/13).Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 518823, Base PCGS# 7363, Greysheet# 193598)
