Description

1879 Silver Dollar, PR63 Cameo
Delicately Toned, Deeply Mirrored

1879 $1 PR63 Cameo PCGS. This early proof Morgan is boldly contrasted, and is fully struck through the hair curls and the eagle's talons. Impressively deep mirrors reveal a few faint hairlines when tilted beneath a light, though these quickly vanish to the unaided eye. A single burgundy-colored speck near the reverse rim at 9 o'clock is the only deep color on this otherwise light golden proof. Population: 11 in 63, 59 finer (11/14).
