Outstanding 1919 MS68 Red Cent
1919 1C MS68 Red PCGS. Brick-red and lime hues grace this highly lustrous and well preserved Superb Gem. Nearly 400 million cents were struck at Philadelphia in 1919, but circulation, toning, and the passage of time has depleted the quantity of high grade survivors. Indeed, PCGS has graded only 14 coins in the lofty grade of MS68 Red, with one example finer; NGC has seen no coins in this grade and color designation. The design features are exceptionally well brought up, and the surfaces are nearly pristine.
