Description
Elusive '1759' Martha Washington Cent
MS62 Red and Brown, Judd-2180
"1759" (1982) Martha Washington "Cent," Judd-2180, Pollock-4100,
R.7, MS62 Red and Brown NGC. Incorrectly designated as
P(ollock)-2080 on the NGC insert. Struck with a plain edge in
copper-plated zinc. This lustrous and mostly peach-red example is
attractive despite a somewhat soft strike on the motifs and a few
tiny spots on the reverse exergue. Martha Washington "nonsense"
dies have been used in various diameters since 1965.
