1836 $2 1/2 Block 8 MS63 NGC. Large Head of 1834, Breen-6142, Variety-8, R.3. A surprisingly sharp strike is evident on both sides, with full central details, an unusual characteristic on any Classic Head quarter eagle. This satiny Select Mint State specimen has brilliant yellow luster with splendid surfaces. This variety is seen about once out of every eight appearances of 1836 quarter eagles.(Registry values: P1)
