Description
Gem 1924-S Full Bands Dime--A Major Strike Rarity in the Mercury Dime Series
1924-S 10C MS65 Full Bands PCGS. The 1924-S is one of the best known strike rarities in the Mercury Dime series, and Lange ranks it second among the 77 issues needed to complete a set. It has been almost two years since we have offered a Gem of this issue at public auction. This is an intensely lustrous example that shows no obvious striking deficiencies on either side. Just the slightest overlay of golden patina is seen on both obverse and reverse. Population: 13 in 65, 2 finer (1/03).From the Jay Eisenberg Collection
