Gem 1858 Flying Eagle Cent, Large Letters
1858 1C Large Letters MS65 PCGS. High Leaves Reverse. Closed E in ONE. Despite an estimated mintage of 12.3 million pieces, Q. David Bowers states the 1858 Large Letters Flying Eagle cent is "very tough to locate" at the MS65 level. The present specimen is sharply struck, with bright yellow-tinge reddish color, and outstanding eye appeal. A few darker specks are noted on the obverse.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 272V, PCGS# 2019, Greysheet# 15315)
