Second Year of the Type Two Design

1855 G$1 MS63 PCGS. The 1855 gold dollar is always popular as an available date of the short lived Type Two design. The present coin is a well struck Select Mint State example, with some weakness apparent on the obverse lettering and the date. The surfaces are light orange-gold, with satiny mint luster.(Registry values: N4719)
