1859 P50C Half Dollar, Judd-236, Pollock-285, R.7, PR63 Brown
PCGS. Anthony Paquet's design offers a seated Liberty facing
left. She supports a fasces with her right hand and balances a
shield in her left. The reverse features a large eagle with an
olive branch and lengthy arrows in the claws. The "perfect ribbon"
Pollock subvariety. Struck in copper with a reeded edge. This is
the reverse variant with three vertical lines on the reverse shield
and six tail feathers. The designs on each side are a bit softly
struck, and the surfaces show even reddish-brown patina.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 29CF, PCGS# 11962, Greysheet# 12373)
