1889 MS 67 NGC. Only 12,000 business strikes were produced of this date. A curious diagnostic common to all non-proofs is the recutting of the vertical shield lines. This heavily frosted coin is covered with layer upon layer of original patina, covering the spectrum from mauve to gray to rose and even showing a small window of brilliance on the reverse.
