Scarcer O-Mint Issue
1842-O $10 AU53 NGC. Variety 1. The mintmark is high on this
variety. Despite a significantly larger issue in New Orleans than
the previous year, the number of survivors is small from the 1842-O
issue. An AU53 representative, this coin boasts yellow and
green-gold color. The surfaces reveal only minuscule abrasions
aside from a reed mark in the upper reverse field that poses little
