Description
Complete 1908 Gem Proof Set
1908 Proof Set NGC Certified. Included are:Cent PR 65 Red and Brown. Lighter color on the obverse than the reverse, there is a fine sprinkling of carbon on each side with a more prominent spot on the headdress.
Nickel PR 66. Brightly reflective with lovely golden and lilac iridescence.
Dime PR 65. Toned in rich golden-rose and blue shadings with outstanding underlying brilliance from the proof finish.
Quarter PR 66. A solid, high quality proof type piece as well as another matching piece to this lovely set. Each side is deeply reflective, and each is also covered with subtle, multicolored shadings of olive, lemon-yellow, sea-green, and lavender which conspire to compose a wonderfully original and elegant Barber quarter.
Half Dollar PR 66. The obverse may be a bit too dark for some tastes, but none can doubt the originality of this piece. Deep blue and violet on the obverse. The reverse, however, has a vertical band of brilliance down the middle with sea-green and maroon patina on each side.
