1871-CC $5 VF30 NGC. Peach patina visits the peripheries of this desirable early Carson City Half Eagle. There are no obtrusive handling marks, although softness on Liberty's hair curls and the eagle's neck suggest a typical strike. Rare in all grades, most survivors of the delivery of 20,770 pieces are well worn from years of circulation in the old west.
