Scarce Uncirculated 1828 Cent, Newcomb-3

1828 1C Large Narrow Date MS62 Brown NGC. N-3, R.2. Tan-brown and mahogany colors alternate across this impressive Matron Head Cent. Well struck, not only on the major devices, but throughout the stars as well. A small mark is on the upper left portion of Liberty's hair, but the surfaces are remarkably smooth overall. As of (7/05), NGC has certified only two Mint State pieces as Newcomb-3; the present coin, and one as MS63 Brown.(#1654) (Registry values: N991)
