Description
Superb Gem 1841-O Half Dime
Single Finest Certified by NGC
1841-O H10C MS67 NGC. Medium O. Those in search of the
single finest NGC-graded 1841-O half dime need look no further,
because that piece is the present lot. Despite a seemingly
plentiful mintage of 815,000 pieces, the 1841-O is rare in Mint
State, with only 12 pieces certified by NGC in such condition. Only
one piece each has been graded by NGC as MS65 and MS66, followed by
the currently offered MS67 at the summit of the Condition
Census. This immaculate Superb Gem provides vibrant cartwheel sheen and original dappled almond-gold and stone-gray toning. The strike is consistently bold throughout. Relatively late dies with numerous spindly die cracks along the reverse periphery.(Registry values: N1)
