Shielded Hair 1794 S-65 Cent
1794 1C Head of 1794 VF30 PCGS. S-65, B-51, R.1. The Shielded Hair variety, which lives up to its name on the present piece. Glimpses of luster emerge from the neck curls, yet the lower right reverse is worn. This chocolate-brown example has several faded marks and a few small rim nicks, but unlike most 1794 cents, there is no sign of verdigris. Struck a couple of degrees off center toward 1:30.
