1840 $2 1/2 XF40 ANACS, a very scarce low mintage issue, typically struck but fully original, glints of remaining prooflike luster; 1877-S AU53 ANACS, sharply struck, abundant luster, low mintage; and an 1893 AU55 ANACS, golden-brown color, strong peripheral luster, a speck of glue below the N in UNITED.From The Dr. Douglas Roane Collection.
