Description
Finest Known 1849-O Ten, AU 58 PCGS
1849-O AU 58 PCGS. A very rare date as well as one of the premier condition rarities in the No Motto series. This piece is tied with one other graded by NGC as the finest certified (5/98), and there are none known in mint state. As always, the striking details are softly impressed, and the deep green-gold color (as always seen) shows portions of semi-reflective luster in the more protected areas on each side. Moderately abraded, there are a couple of more noticeable marks in the fields as well as a heavy one on the cheek of Liberty.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2636, PCGS# 8602, Greysheet# 9439)
Weight: 16.72 grams
