Description

1853 MS 61 PCGS. A relatively high mintage issue but the vast majority of survivors are XF or less with mint state pieces quite elusive, as are most gold coins from this decade. The green-gold surfaces are tinged with light reddish patina and there are numerous abrasions that account for the grade. Fully lustrous.
