Description

1866-S $5 Motto Good 6 NGC. With an original mintage of only 34,920 pieces, it is little wonder that this heavily circulated S-mint issue is elusive in all grades. The fields of this specimen are generally a reddish-gold, and highlight the more lightly colored design elements. The devices reveal decent detail for the grade. Just honest wear, with no serious contact marks.(#8312) (Registry values: P3)
