Memorable 1868 Half Eagle
1868 $5 AU55 NGC. With a paltry 5,700 struck for circulation, it doesn't take a lot of imagination to know that this is a very difficult coin to find in any grade, particularly so in high circulated grades as seen here. Scattered light handling marks can be seen with a loupe, but there are no major distractions. For the numismatist, this coin would make a welcome addition to a specialized collection.
