Startling 1899 Barber Half, MS65 Prooflike
1899 50C MS65 Prooflike NGC. As first glance this coin could easily pass for a true proof, so deep and well-mirrored is the reflectivity. The centers are uniformly silver-white on both sides, but the color melds into pleasing cherry-red hues at the rims on both sides. This fully struck piece certainly appear high-end for the assigned grade.
