Description
PCGS 1795 AU 55. V-5, R.3. Very well struck and centered, normally not seen on most early Bust design half dimes. Some typical adjustment marks show on the obverse which evidences the archaic method the early coiners had to precisely control the weight of each planchet prior to striking. This piece has toned a medium-gray with a smattering of copper-red peripheral color. The reverse die shows approximately a 45 degree rotation to the left. Trends $3,350 in AU 50 and could easily bring that level due to its eye appeal.
