Prooflike AU58 1867 Ten Dollar
1867 $10 AU58 NGC. The 1867 is a well-known and very elusive P-mint ten dollar. Only 3,090 business strikes were produced, and it is almost never seen above XF with AU pieces essentially the best obtainable (one MS60 is known). Sharply defined throughout, the fields are bright and prooflike even though there are numerous small abrasions present that interrupt the field's reflectivity. Deep orange-gold coloration is also seen over each side, and the striking details are generally well defined. Population: 4 in 58, 1 finer (1/05).(#8651) (Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 264L, PCGS# 8651, Greysheet# 9388)
