Description

Sharply Struck 1872 Red Gem Cent

1872 1C MS65 Red ICG. This is a full red Gem example of this popular, semi-key issue from the early Indian cent series. Slightly more than 4 million pieces were struck, and surprisingly few were set aside. This piece shows strong definition on all the design elements, and each side is covered with deep cherry-red mint luster. This is the highest grade most collectors can hope to obtain.
