Prooflike 1867 Seated Dime, MS64

1867 10C MS64 PCGS. This prooflike near-Gem has a good strike and features dusky gunmetal-gray toning. Glimpses of aqua, rose, and chestnut emerge when the piece is rotated beneath a light. Struck from a multiply clashed obverse die. Only 6,000 pieces were struck, since fractional currency was commonplace. Population: 12 in 64, 13 finer (1/09).(Registry values: N1793)
