Description
Fantastic Double Struck C-10, B-9 1804 Half Cent, Fine 12
1804 1/2 C Plain 4, No Stems--Double Struck--Fine 12 ANACS C-10, B-9, R.1. A close date and a notable die break through the R in AMERICA are the major diagnostics for this variety. Even with the exceptional doubling on both sides, the die break through the R in AMERICA stands out. A couple of millimeters separate the two strikes, which makes this piece eye-catching. Medium brown patina overlays both sides and further enhances the eye appeal. A charming early half cent error. EAC 10.From The Jerry Kochel Collection.
