Description
1879-S $20 MS61 NGC. A remarkable mint state example with subtle proof-like fields. Other than a few small marks at the base of Liberty's lower curl the piece is nicer than most you will see for this issue. The reverse is slightly proof-like as well with one light carbon spot at the center of the shield surrounded by cleaner than usual surfaces.Ex: Bowers and Merena (8/02), lot 885.
