Attractive 1879-CC Select Dollar

1879-CC $1 MS63 PCGS. Essentially untoned surfaces display pleasing luster and a modest degree of field-device contrast. The design elements are better struck than usually seen, including good definition in the centers. Some minute marks preclude a finer grade. Probably hundreds of thousands of the original 756,000-piece mintage were melted under the Pittman Act.(Registry values: P7, N2998)
