1913-S $10 MS63 PCGS....
Description
1913-S Indian Ten, MS63
Challenging in Mint State
1913-S $10 MS63 PCGS. The 1913-S Indian Head ten dollar
piece is a popular S-mint issue within the series, owing in part to
its mintage of only 66,000 coins -- exceptionally low for a 20th
century coin. Lustrous surfaces yield deep yellow-gold patination
and well-struck design features. A few light marks, including a
minute rim mark at 3 o'clock, are less than what might be expected
for an MS63. This piece is clearly finer than the typical certified
coin, which has an average grade of AU55, or the average auction
appearance with an average grade just under MS60. Population: 31 in
63, 22 finer (8/25).Ex: FUN Signature (Heritage, 1/2014), lot 6978; Beverly Hills Signature (Heritage, 11/2014), lot 4052.(Registry values: N4719)
