Description

1886-S Morgan Dollar, MS65+
Colorfully Toned, CAC

1886-S $1 MS65+ PCGS. CAC. Hues of cobalt-blue, amber, aquamarine and plum tint the periphery while faint hues of caramel and marmalade float over and around the central devices. Slight softness is noted over Liberty's ear and on the eagle's talons and breast feathers, otherwise details are sharp. A couple of minor nicks around Liberty's eye serve as pedigree markers, with others insignificant or concealed under the colorful toning. The issue of 750,000 pieces is plentiful through Gem condition, but Premium Gems become more elusive and even finer pieces are almost impossible to source.
