Description
1907 High Relief Twenty, MS62
Wire Rim, Bright Yellow-Gold Surfaces
1907 $20 High Relief, Wire Rim, MS62 PCGS. This Wire Rim
High Relief has remarkably bright yellow-gold surfaces, lacking any
trace of the usually seen reddish tint. The strike details are
complete throughout, and there are no singularly mentionable
contact marks on either side. High Relief twenties were recognized
as special from the day they were produced, and have always
commanded a premium. A high percentage of the original mintage
survives, many in the better grades of Uncirculated, but there are
never enough to satisfy collector demand for this one-year type
coin that was designed by America's foremost 19th century
sculptor.Ex: ANA Signature (Heritage, 8/2014), lot 5749.(Registry values: N4719)
